This part of his life led him into the role of Timpanist with The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra and led him into getting a degree in Composition/Percussion/Piano at Centenary College. These studies also led him into his involvement with church music which continues on as a composer/choir director/performer.
After college, Johnny settled in Arlington, Texas where he formed the band “Winterflight” and toured Texas extensively. Johnny continues to compose, record and perform in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as teach and lead a rocking church choir.
